María Lorenzo Hernández (Torrevieja, 1977), es Catedrática del Departamento de Dibujo de la Universitat Politècnica de València. Desde 2011 dirige la revista Con A de animación, y ha escrito para numerosas publicaciones especializadas, como las revistas Animation: Practice, Process & Production, Animation: An Interdisciplinary Journal, o el volumen The intersection of Animation, Video Games, and Music (Routledge, 2023). En 2021 publicó el libro La imagen animada. Una historia imprescindible (Diábolo). Dirige cortos de animación desde 2002, y en 2016 fue nominada a los Premios Goya por su cortometraje La noche del océano.

She has been Editor of the journal Con A de animación since 2011, and she has contributed to Animation: Practice, Process & Production, Animation: An Interdisciplinary Journal, or the book The intersection of Animation, Video Games, and Music (Routledge, 2023). In 2021 she published the book La imagen animada. Una historia imprescindible (Diábolo). Since 2002 she has directed several animation short films such as The Night Ocean (2015), which was nominated to the 2016 Goya Awards.
