María Manero Muro (Azagra, Navarra, 1986). Interesada siempre en las diferentes disciplinas artísticas como teatro y cine, decide estudiar Bellas Artes en la Universidad del País Vasco, terminando la Licenciatura con una beca Erasmus en la KABK, Países Bajos. Estudia animación stop-motion en la University of the West of England, RU, para la que es becada por Gobierno de Navarra. Al finalizar sigue el camino de la dirección en el Máster de Animación de la Universitat Politècnica de València y aquí dirige el proyecto Patchwork (2018) y continúa con la especialización en Animación 2D en la misma universidad en esta ocasión gracias a una beca de Fundación Caja de Ahorros de Navarra. Para ella, “La animación es sólo la excusa perfecta para crear un nuevo mundo sin límites.”

As she always moved around the different disciplines of art such as theatre and cinema, she decided to study Fine Arts at the University of the Basque Country. She got her Degree in Fine Arts at the KABK in the Nederlands during an Erasmus stay. Then she moved to England to enrole an MA in stop-motion at the The University of the West of England, with funds given by the Government of Navarre for artistic studies. She pursues the path to animation direction enrolling the MA at Universitat Politècnica de València, where she directs the project Patchwork (2018) and keeps specializing on 2D animation with funds by Fundación CAN. For her, “Animation is just the perfect excuse to create a new world out of limits.”
