Biografia castellano:

Cecilia Traslaviña González es realizadora y profesora de animación, en la Facultad de Artes de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana en Bogotá, Colombia. Se interesó en la animación desde muy joven y luego de varios experimentos fallidos con una cámara de Super 8 mm, logró concluir su primer corto gracias a la tecnología digital. Ha participado con sus obras, como jurado y curadora en diferentes festivales y eventos alrededor del mundo. Realizó junto con Mauricio Durán Perpetuum Mobile (2014), un documental dividido en tres capítulos (I. Tiempo y espacio. II. Procesos creativos. III. Tecnología y creación), en el que se reflexiona sobre la relación entre la animación y las artes. Actualmente trabaja en un corto utilizando por primera vez la técnica de stop motion, basándose en las sensaciones experimentadas durante la lectura del libro Estancia y doméstica de la poeta chilena Mariela Malhue (2010). Es miembro de Moebius Animación, cuyo interés está centrado en la difusión de la animación experimental latinoamericana.

Cecilia Traslaviña González works as animation teacher in the Faculty of Arts at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia. She became interested in animation from a very young age. After several failed experiments with a Super 8 mm camera, she finally finished her first short thanks to digital technology. She has participated with her works and as jury and curator in different festivals and events around the world. She co-directed with Mauricio Durán the documentary Perpetuum Mobile (2014), divided in three chapters (I. Time and Space. II. Creative Processes. III. Technology and Creation), in which they reflect on the relationship between Animation and Arts. She is currently working on her first stop motion technique short film; the film is based on the sensations she experienced during the reading of the book Estancia y doméstica by the Chilean poet Mariela Malhue (2010). Furthermore, she is a member of Moebius Animation, whose interest is focused on the dissemination of experimental Latin American animation.
