Begoña Vicario Calvo (Caracas, 1962) es Doctora en Bellas e imparte docencia el Grado de Arte y en el Máster de Arte Contemporáneo (MACTP) de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la UPV/EHU. Su línea de investigación es el cine experimental animado y ha escrito varios libros y numerosos artículos sobre el tema. Actualmente es investigadora del Grupo AKME-KA UPV/EHU y coordina el grupo de animación Hauazkena con el que trabaja en proyectos cinematográficos como Beti Bezperako Koplak (2015), Areka (2016), Miraila (2017), En la luna (2018), Ehiza (2020) e Instrucciones para andar por la ciudad (2021). También su obra individual, con trabajos como Zureganako grina (1996) Pregunta por mí (1997), Haragia/Carne Humana (2000) o Jane: Tarzán no era tan guay (2013). Azala ez da azala (2021), ha sido ampliamente difundida y premiada en festivales nacionales e internacionales.

Begoña Vicario Calvo (Caracas, 1962) has a PhD in Fine Arts and teaches the Degree in Art and the Master of Contemporary Art (MACTP) at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UPV/EHU. His line of research is experimental animated cinema and he has written several books and numerous articles on the subject.
