Andrijana Ružić se graduó en Historia y Crítica de Arte en la Università degli Studi de Milán, Italia, donde se enamoró del arte de la animación. Se especializó en Historia del Cine de Animación bajo la tutoría de Giannalberto Bendazzi: el tema de su tesis de maestría fue la obra de dos impredecibles espíritus de la escena de animación independiente estadounidense, John y Faith Hubley, y su Storyboard Studio en Nueva York. Como profesora independiente, ha participado en numerosas conferencias de estudios de animación abordando la obra de diversos autores independientes de animación. En los últimos seis años ha programado la sección de animación en el Festival Internacional de Cómics de Belgrado, Serbia. Es miembro del comité de selección de Animafest Scanner, el simposio de Estudios de Animación Contemporáneos en el Festival Mundial de Cine de Animación que se celebra anualmente en Zagreb, Croacia. Asimismo, escribe sobre animación y otras artes para la revista semanal Vreme de Belgrado. Es autora del libro Michael Dudok de Wit – A Life in Animation (CRC Focus, 2020).

Andrijana Ružić graduated in History and Criticism of Art at the Università degli Studi in Milan, Italy where she fell in love with the art of animation. She specialized in History of Animated Film under Giannalberto Bendazzi’s mentorship: the subject of her master thesis was the opus of two unpredictable spirits of American independent animation scene, John and Faith Hubley, and their Storyboard Studio in NYC. As an independent scholar she participated to numerous conferences for animation studies presenting the works of diverse independent authors of animation. In the last six years she has been curating the section dedicated to animated film at the International Comics Festival in Belgrade, Serbia. She is the member of the Selection board of Animafest Scanner, the symposium for Contemporary Animation Studies at the World Festival of Animated Film held annually in Zagreb, Croatia. She writes about animation and other arts for Belgrade weekly magazine Vreme. She is the author of the book Michael Dudok de Wit – A Life in Animation (CRC Focus, 2020).
